John McCain on Leno

Would you believe this sexy guy is John McCain? Woot! I was about to write this blog post about watching him on The Jay Leno Show last night and decided I’d put a picture with the post. I ran across this one on Google Images and my eyes about popped out! He was a hottie.

And though I was never a fan of John McCain’s I have to say that he is a pretty frigging funny guy! He wasn’t actually ON Leno in person, he was there via satellite, for the record. Leno lobbed questions at the republican Senator and former presidential contender like baseballs, but John McCain was on his game.

Here are a few of the questions Leno asked McCain and his responses, for your Saturday morning reading enjoyment:

What book are you reading? –Twilight

Last thing your doctor told you not to do?–Read Twilight, (big laugh from audience)

When is the last time you talked to Sarah Palin–about a month ago, on a moose hunt. (Jay was chomping at the bit to use that one but he refrained.)

If you had ten dollars to spend on fast food, what would you buy?–Taco Bell, three items from .99 menu. The rest I’d save for Obama care. (that got a ton of laughs)

Are you going to run for president in 2014?–No “bleeping” way! (sigh of relief from me, laugh from audience.)

This just goes to show that you really don’t know people or what they are like beyond their public persona. I, like so many other Americans, thought John McCain was a stuffy old man. But it turns out this former hottie is a pretty cool guy.

John McCain is my idol. He is a politician with a very strong personality.

John McCain might have been a good US President but the people in the US does not need another Republican, that is why he lost in the election. Obama perfectly states the need of the people in his campaign slogan and that is “change we can”.
