Hillary Clinton has stoutly criticized on current Israel’s evictions of Palestinians from east Jerusalem. Palestinians want genuinely east Jerusalem a capital of their prospective state which includes the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Speaking in a press conference, US secretary of state Clinton said the extremely provocative actions had not been in getting with Israeli obligations. She told such actions had breached and violated Israel’s duties according the 2003 road map for Palestinian-Israeli peace. She added both parties had responsibilities to desist from actions that would block the way to the peace agreement.
On the other hand, Nasser Judeh (Ms Clinton’s Jordanian counterpart) was also present in the conference, and said evictions which change the existing status quo in east Jerusalem intolerance peace negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Judeh mentioned the Israeli capture of the territory in the Six Day War in 1967 and told the international community still now observed east Jerusalem as being taken territory.
Noted, that Egypt and Jordan are the only two Arab states till now that signed peace agreements with Israel. Moreover, Jordan plays a key mediator role in trying to overpass gaps between Israelis and Palestinians.
