Mumbai Authorities Demolish “Slumdog Millionaire” Child Star’s House

The Oscar winning “Slumdog Millionaire” child stars are falling in real big problem one by one. The huge popularity and success of “Slumdog Millionaire” cant able to bring pleasure for its real slum-dweller stars. Few days ago one child star of the movie, Rubina Ali is offered for sale by her gluttonous father. Now another child star Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, who won huge honor for his act as Selim in the movie, was observed among garbage of his house.

Ismail and almost 20 other kids who showed in the movie were left on the streets after Mumbai municipal authorities bulldoze their homes in the slum region. According to BBC reports police smacked Azharuddin, with a bamboo stick previous to ordering out from the home.
Now the authorities of Mumbai state that Azharuddin’s family and other families were living there illegally that was owned by the Indian government. And after destruction Azharuddin said, “We are homeless, we have nowhere to go.”

“Slumdog Millionaire” has earned more than 140 million British pound and got 8 Oscar award, yet two child stars of the film are still existing in slums. Though, the producers and director of the film have said the kids’ teaching has been paid for, and also a  trust fund build that they will obtain when they are adult.

Shamim Ismail the mother of Azharuddin speaking to the BBC,

Our house has been broken down by officials. We have not been given any alternate accommodation. Earlier the authorities had said they would give us a house. But I don’t think that will happen any more.
